The new catalog of VacceArte (exhibition of contemporary Vaccean inspiration art) and the Pintian calendar 2018, both with the central motif of the ritual jars used by the Vaccean people for civilized wine consumption (symposium) or at funerary banquets (silicernia), are now available for download in our Publications section.
The catalog reproduces the works of the thirty-six participating artists; an article by Carlos Sanz and Elvira Rodríguez is also included, in which the formal and plastic development of the jars from the Vaccean Era to the present time is discussed, where they still survive as a living legacy of the Vaccean past.
The Pintian calendar for 2018 shows us the best examples of these ritual jars, accompanied by brief comments that frame each piece within its spatial and temporal context. The texts are the work of Carlos Sanz, the drawings of Luis Pascual and Ángel Rodríguez and the design of Eva Laguna.
