Cesare Calandrini and Rita Rolli donate to the CEVFW a lot of ceramic replicas

Tu 09/6/2011

From the 4th to the 9th of October, 2010 took place the first of the courses included in the programme «Universes of Ceramics», organized by the CEVFW, coordinated by Carlos Sanz and Carlos Jimeno.

This first course, on ancient Greek pottery, was attended by Professor Cesare Calandrini, accompanied by his wife and colleague, Rita Rolli, who were responsible for teaching this course at the headquarters of CEVFW in Padilla de Duero (Valladolid).
We had an extraordinary opportunity to share the tandem of wisdom and extended experience Calandrini-Rolli. After finding out that the Greek ceramic replicas that we had were just painted, they recently fulfilled their promise (we'd better say exceed it) to donate to the Center a good collection of villanovian ceramics, Etruscan cups and Greek ceramics, following the traditional techniques of preparation and cooking, like the ones on display in his workshop in Perugia. Our thanks and sincere affection for Cesare and Rita. Students and visitors at Pintia now understand much better the concept of "quality ceramics".
